21 is a great game you can play at anytime. It can seem a little confusing at the beginning but once you get the hang of it everything flows.

[PLAYERS - 3+]

What You Need:

How to Play:

1. Decide who goes first.

2. The player starts the game by saying "I propose a game of 21, to my left/right"

3. The player to the left or right must now start the count up to 21, by saying "1".

4. Take turns, counting up in sequence.

5. Players can change the direction OR skip the player beside them by counting extra numbers

  • Counting two numbers reverses the direction.
  • Counting three numbers skips a player.
  • Counting four numbers reverses direction AND skips a player.

6. If a player makes a mistake they must take a sip and restart the game from. Mistakes include:

  • Hesitating
  • Calling the wrong number.
  • Calling a number out of turn.#
  • Calling 5 numbers
  • Breaking a Rule

7.  Assuming there's no mistakes. The game will continue in sequence up to 21. The player that says 21 must chug their drink, make a rule for a specific number and restart from 1.

8. The rule's the rule—follow it every time you say the number. Need some inspo? Check out these EXAMPLES.
